Most to-do apps want every job assigned to one person. That doesn't work in a shop where any barista can do any barista job. In Skidle, you can assign work to a position instead, and Skidle figures out who that is at the moment.
Members
To see everyone in your account, click People, then click Members. Admins and the owner invite people by email. The person can join with a new or existing account, and with any email address, including addresses from services like Apple's Hide My Email. The invitation link works once and expires after two weeks. Admins get a notification when someone joins.
Each person has an access level.

| What they can do | Standard | Admin | Owner |

| See their schedule, chat, and open team files | ✓ | ✓ | ✓ |

An account has one owner. Nobody can remove the owner or change their access.
When someone leaves, turn them off instead of removing them. They can't sign in or get assigned work, they don't count toward your plan, and their name stays on everything they did.
Roles
A role describes what someone does here, like Barista, Baker, or Shift Lead. Assign work to Baristas, and every barista gets it, including anyone you hire later.
Roles are off until you turn them on. Click People, then click Roles. A small team often doesn't need roles. Turn them on when you find yourself choosing the same people for the same jobs. A person can have more than one role, so an owner who also works behind the bar can be both Owner and Barista. Only admins can set roles, and shifts never change them.
Locations
If you run more than one location, turn on Locations. You can connect a shift to a location, and you can connect an identity to one too, so work for the downtown shop only goes to the people working downtown.
Identities
An identity is who work goes to. Every person is an identity, every role is an identity, and Everyone is built in. You can also create your own, like:
- "Downtown baristas": Baristas and Downtown
- "Everyone but John"
- "John and Mary," when they always work together
To create one, build a line of pills joined with and, or, and not, or click Ask AI and describe it in your own words. Click Test it to see whether a specific person fits.
Skidle checks an identity again every time it's used. A location means "on shift there right now," so "Baristas and Downtown" means whichever baristas are working downtown at that moment. When checking in is turned on, the built-in Checked in identity means whoever is checked in right now, so "Restock the cups" can go to whoever's actually there.
See what someone else sees
Click View as on a member's row to see the app the way they see it. It's the quickest way to make sure a new barista sees the right tasks. A note at the bottom of the screen shows whose view you're in. Click Exit to go back.
