If Skidle is acquired or merged, personal data may transfer as part of that, and this policy continues to apply to it.

We disclose personal data when required by law, or when needed to protect someone's safety, investigate fraud or abuse, or enforce our Terms.

7. How long we keep it

  • Work records are kept for the period the account's plan allows: 90 days on Counter, 3 years on Service, and without a limit on Enterprise. Older records are deleted automatically.
  • After a downgrade to a plan that keeps records for less time, there is a 30-day grace period before older records are deleted.
  • Accounts are kept while they are open. After an account is deleted, its data is removed, except where we must keep something for legal, tax or accounting reasons.
  • Support tickets and chat messages are kept as long as needed to handle the request and for our records.
  • Newsletter subscriptions are kept until you unsubscribe.
  • Analytics and error data are kept according to PostHog's retention settings for our project.

8. Where data is stored

Skidle runs on Amazon Web Services in the United States (us-east-1). Our providers may process data in other countries. Where data is transferred internationally, we rely on the safeguards the applicable law provides.

9. Your choices and rights

  • Change your details in your profile settings at any time.
  • Unsubscribe from the newsletter using the link in any issue.
  • Delete your account by emailing support@skidle.com.
  • Your work data is controlled by the business you work for. Ask them first; we will help them respond.

Depending on where you live, you may have the right to access, correct, delete, restrict, or export your personal data, and to object to some processing. Email support@skidle.com and we will respond within the time the law requires. You can also complain to your local data protection authority.

10. Security

Data is encrypted in transit and at rest. Passwords are handled by Amazon Cognito. Access within an organization is limited by role. No system is perfectly secure; if a breach affects your personal data we will tell you as the law requires.
