What Keep a record does
Keep a record saves something so a later run, of this workflow or another one, can find it with Look something up. For example, you can keep each fridge reading, then send a warning if today's is much warmer than the last one.
Set it up
- List: The name of the collection, like
readingsororders. Look something up uses the same name. - Filed under: What you'll look it up by later, like the fridge's name or a customer's email address. Leave it empty if you'll only ever look at the list as a whole.
- What to keep: The value to keep. Leave it empty to keep everything the run knows at that point. That's usually the right choice, because data you don't keep can't be recovered later.
- Keep for: How long to keep each record: 30 days, 90 days, 6 months, or 1 year.
Records belong to your account and are shared by all its workflows.
After it runs
The step saves data.<step id>.id, the new record's ID.
