Workflow Step: Look Something Up

What Look something up does

Look something up finds records saved by Keep a record. Finding nothing is a normal result, not an error.

Set it up

• List: The same name the records were saved under.
• Filed under: What to look up, like {{ data.values.fridge }}. Leave it empty to get the whole list, most recent first.
• From the last: Only records saved within this time, like 24h or 7d. Leave it empty for any time.
• How many: 1 returns a single record, and a larger number returns a list, up to 200. If you leave it empty, you get one record, or every record in the time period if From the last is set.
• Oldest first: Select this to start with the oldest record.

After it runs

• data.<step id>.count: How many records were found (0 if none).
• data.<step id>.result: The record, or a list of records if you asked for more than one. What was saved is in values, like data.<step id>.result.values.temperature.

Add a When way out with data.<step id>.count = 0 for "nothing found," and an Otherwise way out for when something was found.
