Get Started with Skidle

Create an account, invite your team, and set up your first daily checklist. It takes an evening, not a weekend.

Skidle gives everyone on your team their tasks, reminds them before something's due, and keeps a record of who did what. You describe the work once, and it shows up for the right person.

You can set everything up in an evening, but you don't have to do it all at once.

Create your account

Sign up, then name your account after your business. Each account is one business, with its own people, tasks, and plan. If you run two businesses, create an account for each. To switch between them, use the menu at the top of the sidebar.

A new account starts empty. On your first day, you can use Skidle as your own to-do list.

Invite your team

Click People, click Members, then click Invite. Each person gets an email, signs in with their own account, and sees their own Dashboard.

You don't need roles or locations to get started. You can already assign work to anyone by name. Turn on roles, like Barista or Shift Lead, when you find yourself giving the same jobs to the same people. See People, roles, and identities.

Create your first task

Click Task Manager, then click New task. Enter what needs to be done, who it's for, and when it appears.

For example, if the glass on the bakery case needs cleaning every night, create a task called "Clean the case glass," assign it to Baristas (or to Everyone, if you haven't turned on roles), and set it to repeat every day at 8 p.m., due by 9:30 p.m. Each evening, a new task appears for whoever's working. If no one finishes it, you'll see that it wasn't done.

You can add a form to a task, such as a checklist, a fridge temperature, a count, or a photo. See Forms.

Try a recipe

Recipes are ready-made routines, like an opening checklist, a fridge log, a stock count, or an end-of-day recap. Click Automation, click Recipes, then answer a few questions. The recipe is added to your account but stays off until you turn it on. Try it yourself first, then turn it on for your team. See Recipes.

Get the app

Most of your team will use Skidle on their phone. They can download the app from the App Store or Google Play, then sign in with the same account. Their tasks, schedule, and notifications are all there. See The phone app.

Do more with Skidle

  • Workflows run on their own, like emailing you when the walk-in cooler gets too warm.
  • Schedule lets you plan who works when, and lets people check in and out.
  • Integrations bring in your team and shifts from Square, or save every form to Google Drive.
